Beyond the Breakout Room: Finding My “Courage Refill” this Women’s Day

Networking is usually about exchanging business cards and strategies, but my time at the PWR Connection Network Virtual Speed Networking Event offered something much deeper. Beyond the breakout rooms and client outreach tactics, I found the one thing every entrepreneur eventually needs to replenish: courage.

March 5,

Building More Than Just Business

International Women’s Day is often celebrated with grand gestures, but this year, I found the most meaning in a quiet virtual space filled with female entrepreneurs.

I recently joined the PWR Connection Network Virtual Speed Networking Event. On paper, it was a structured networking session. We moved through breakout rooms designed to help us understand each other’s businesses and brainstorm strategies for client outreach. But as the session progressed, it became clear that we were building something much deeper than a professional network.

The Power of Showing Up Authentically. We often feel the pressure to have every answer and a perfectly polished pitch. At this event, the “polish” took a backseat to authenticity. We shared our initiatives, yes, but we also shared our journeys.

The Missing Piece: Courage. If I’m being honest, the session was about more than just business growth for me. It was about replenishing a sense of courage that can sometimes get drained by the day-to-day hustle.

There is a specific kind of strength that comes from looking at a screen full of women and realizing:

  • If they can do it, I can do it.
  • If I hit a wall, these are the people who will help me climb over it.

A Collective Spark I left the event feeling energized, not just because I had new strategies to reach my clients, but because I felt supported. We don’t have to build in isolation. When we share generously, we all grow faster.

This Women’s Day, my wish for every female founder and professional is that you find your “PWR connection.” May you find the spaces that remind you of your own capability and provide the support you need to keep building.

Happy International Women’s Day!
